A well-equipped farm house available for special functions, a beautiful pool and kiddie pool, two regulation tennis courts (also marked for Pickleball) and meandering walking paths all contribute to owners’ enjoyment and attractive resale values in The Knolls.

The Farmhouse

The furnished farmhouse, original to the property and built in 1779, is a striking example of the Pennsylvania farmhouse style and incorporates locally sourced field-stone.  With a maximum capacity of 75 and a fully-equipped kitchen, the farmhouse is well utilized by the community for social events, committee and board meetings.  The meeting room has been outfitted with a smart television to support display of presentations.

The farmhouse is also available to residents looking to host special events, for a modest fee.

The Pool

Adjacent to the farmhouse is a beautiful pool open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend and staffed by a certified lifeguard.  There is a separate kiddie pool, enclosed by a fence for the safety of little ones, and the peace of mind of their parents.  Residents can relax on the pool deck in one of the many lounge chairs or enjoy the activity from the comfort of a table shaded by an awning.  There is ample parking and onsite change and bathroom facilities.

Tennis Courts

Two regulation tennis courts, both with a composite surface and protected by wind screens, are available to residents on a first-come-first-served basis.  One of these courts has been also been marked for Pickleball, with portable nets. Several parking spots are available at the courts for your convenience.  Players are asked to restrict their game time to 45 minutes if there are people waiting.

Walking Trails

The community is well served by walking trails that meander through The Knolls and connect to the Sandy Hollow Heritage Trail.  Walking your furry best friend? Doggy bags and disposal stations are available for your convenience.  Headed for your morning coffee?  A coffee shop is a few minutes walk away and a favorite morning destination.
